WebCber

Didn't rain today, Yes! Okay, so what do I do when it doesn't rain during a rainy week, I go to my 73rd favorite place on Earth, War Memorial. Open gym closed when we got there, and the foosball table was occupied so as we waited, a deck of cards was waiting to be opened and played with. So we did, it is a card game called Old Maid. Basically, there are two of every card except the Old Maid. So you try to match pairs within your hand and whoever has the Old Maid card in the end loses. Every turn you randomly select a card from the person who is next to you. So here is my hand:I got the Old Maid, weak.
Also...
Did you ever get a dollar like this:I've definitely seen this before because being a Blogger, I have to be on top of everything. I've done a bad job of this lately but anyways, I finally was not tempted to put this lucky dollar bill in the vending machine to buy a bag of Munchies. Instead, I keep it and go to the website shown.
Here is what happened. Sad part is, in 15 days, it has probably traveled more than Jimmy ever will in his whole life. Or Chris unless he gets on another airplane (and not to Disneyland).

You're not my dad!

Just saw the Harlem Globetrotters on TV today and saw some resemblance with some WWE wrestling. Here 4 things I noticed:
1. Scripted
Globetrotters - how can you not feel a ball being put into your jersey and injuries don't look that real
WWE - fake fighting...
as real as it will get2. Dumb refs
Globetrotters - the other team is cheating behind the refs' backs
WWE - they get distracted to easily by the wrestler's partners especially by the women
almost as bad as this guy3. Fans
Globetrotters - a lot of kids probably from age 2-10 that probably prefer watching Hannah Montana and playing with their toys
WWE - a lot of teens from age 15-22 who love heavy metal and mosh pits but still, relatively young fans
attracting the youth4. Bad Acting
Globetrotters and wrestlers are both worse than Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in GigliJust needed something to blog about. I liked the globetrotters on tv, kinda...

Hear what?

We won today in our ACBA basketball league. It was a Me - Tony - sometimes Jimmy connection all day. Well, not really, just a couple nice looking plays.
The deadline to get my cap and gown is February 1st so I go online to buy it. Then on the front page is the 2008 Hear of the Year CD compilation. Jostens chooses their top jams of 2008 and make it into a cd to make your senior year more memorable. You can also buy the previous Hear of the Year CDs. Weak. And since 2008 just started, the cd is still in the process of picking tracks and stuff.
It sort of reminds me of the Now That's What I Call Music series. Or those TimeLife music collection commercials you see late at night on TV.
Over.

Surprise!!!

After hearing about this, I went to the Huf website and printed out this flier. After about a month or two of investigating the legitness of this whole thing, I've decided to give it a shot. So basically, you send Huf money via paypal, money order or cash along with your shirt, hat, and shoe sizes and they send you something from their inventory. Probably something they don't want or anybody else wants. There is even a little section to check off for a balut. What you get is totally random and you don't know what you're gonna get. For example, somebody sent 400 of theseand got a pair of theseand other t shirts and hoodies and stuff. So I sent in all the money I had in my paypal balance today. As I said goodbye to the $21.95 I sent to Huf, I also hope for a pair of Ray Fongs. Lookout for a post in a couple weeks when I show you guys my surprise gift.

8 tool

Jostens came to our school today to inform us about our caps and gowns for graduation. They also came to advertise their class of 08 rings/bling and apparel. Did you know they had collaborations with Phat Farm, Nike, Lacoste, and others. They also make the championship rings for NBA Champions, Superbowl champions and stuff like that. So the presenter brought in a sample Super Bowl Ring to show off and he let me see it and wear it. So I did. This was a ring made for the New England Patriots the last time they won. I am a champion. yay. Tony's camera is not a champion.

What is it?

I just realized that my last post is a potential SPOILER to the movie Cloverfield. So I'll try to type enough that the picture I drew won't be visible from the top of the page. So yea, if you saw my last post and read it and you're mad at me for revealing the mysterious Cloverfield monster, sorry I'm a little too late to the rescue. But to see it, you must be such a dedicated fan to the horseman blog and I hope I can redeem myself by saying I love you... But for the rest of you, don't scroll down if you want to find out what the monster is on your own because my illustration is exactly what is in the movie because I'm good like that. Yeah, Cloverfield basically feels like you're on a rollercoaster but you're not moving. I'm not sure if this is enough typing, so I'll just add a random picture as filler for the rest of the post. Kinda scary/stalkerish/weird/dumb picture of me and my girlfriend.

They got it!!! No they didn't

Saw Coloverfield on Saturday after fellowship. Here is a website where nerds try to draw the monster from Cloverfield. You can also see here for more ideas on what the monster is. Throughout the movie, you don't really get a clear shot of the monster until the end, and even then you can't really see cuz you're eyes are probably too shaken up by then.
Here is the nerd, which is me, trying to draw what I thought the monster looked like, but I'm not a nerd and also I am not trying to draw it because my monster looks totally identical to the one that J.J. Abrams created:We also won our basketball game today. The score was like 70-50 or something. Cool
Stay after the credits for a little sound byte.

Agent Zero

I've just broken the 100 post mark and I would like to start with the statement, I hate you Gilbert Arenas. Thank you.
And so moving on, today was one of the few times I watch channel 4. You know how they have those magic tricks revealed with the masked magician? Well, I don't know if they always show this but I watched this wrestling tricks revealed show that starred a couple masked nacho libres. I kinda knew wrestlers stomped when they punched and kicked and that the wrestlers work together on body slams and the like, but what really surprised me is that wrestlers really, truly cut their foreheads and bleed. All this time I thought it was fake blood, and the person that provides the blade is the ref. When the ref goes to check if one wrestler is ok, he slips a very small blade into the wrestlers hand and he later discretely cuts his own forehead. So look out for that in the next cage match you plan to watch.
I missed Best Night Ever.

1988

Friday:
So after being paypal verified and all that, I've been looking around Ebay about what I could start to buy, then realized that I can buy anything I want. Well, I've just dug up some old baseball cards from the part of my collection my mom didn't throw out, so I guess I'm starting to buy lots of cards. And my first Ebay purchase came in the mail on Friday. Here it is:It's so nostalgic to open up packs of cards again, except it is not Pokemon. And so I got baseball packs and what do baseball players love to chew that is not tobacco? That's right! Bubble gum, so Topps really does a good job of giving kids that can't really play baseball and have to buy the cards and pretend to play by including one stick of gum in some of the packs. Did I mention that those packs were from 1988?It is still on my desk. My mom should do something about that...,
like eat it.
or throw it away...

Saturday:
Went to the Warriors celebrity fund raiser game thing. We couldn't find our seats, so we sat in some empty ones. Here is the view from our side:Saw the sixth grade fellowship a couple rows in front. I didn't know most of the stars but it included:
The brothers Massey - Christopher from Zoey 101 and Kyle from Cory in the HouseJoshua Peck from Drake and Josh - street cred pic
Donald Faison - you might remember him from Remember the Titans, Clueless, and I think he was Punk'd one time...I think this guy was in the game too - Flex Alexander from One on One. It looks like he's had some b-ball experienceI couldn't really recognize anybody else.

Chandelier Brown

Saw Jerome get past the first round in the table tennis tournament at the newly remodeled War Memorial building. Came back from a ten point deficit. We met this kid named Nathan and we beat him in foosball. Man, I should have taken a picture of him, he was sooo funny. So I searched "Nathan 8 year old chinese kid" into the Google search engine because Blingo didn't have any results. Here is the picture that most represented the Nathan I met:Found it on the first page of results. The foosball Nathan was not smoking, FYI. So remember that storm about a week ago? Here is what it did to our beloved tree at school. The one on the left that is half destroyed is often called the "Tree of Dreams". The sorrow of the school can be interpreted by this sad fellow, who walked into my picture, with his head down in memory of the tree. We are all as torn up inside as its branches were. Then a couple days later, the Man decided to shred the lost parts. Here are the instructions to the shredder:Learn it! It could save your life...

Time to Shine

Here is a basic guide to street cred. Examples are from white people that show us how to and not to get street cred. So hopefully after reading this, you can be one more step away from getting your very own ghetto pass.
Politically:
Right - Mike Huckabee - just ask
Wrong - George Bush - don't hate

Arts
Right - Miri Ben Ari - it doesn't matter how or what instrument, as long as it is hip hop

Wrong - John Mayer - wrong type of music, I still like John Mayer though
Right - Banksy - Street ArtWrong - Mystical DolphinsSpeech
Right and Wrong - Ebonics Lesson

Sports
Right - The Professor - be good at a sport black people like

Wrong - Really tall European guy - don't get dunked on

Common Courtesy
Right - Howie Mandel - give away enough money for rent

Wrong - Howie Mandel - don't forget names

Right - Greet Properly

Right - Michael Scott - don't be racist, but don't do it the way Steve Carell does because it is even more messed up

Violation

I was at the barber shop waiting to get my haircut and started to browse through the assortment of magazines. Here is the cover to an old US Weekly:Why does one sister seem happier than the other? Young spears needs a smile...

Sexyback

So Christmas break is officially over now that school is starting and it sucks. But its not too late to resurrect an old Christmas Carol the 12 Days of Christmas. Except I'm going to change it a little to the 12 Highlights of my Christmas Break. If you break the words down correctly, that line should sound the same as the original. Figure it out, so here we go.
The 12th highlight of my Christmas break... never mind, maybe I'll just list them:

12. Watching Sweeney Todd with my mother on Christmas day - can't remember the last movie I saw with my mom before this one
11. Finishing that darn jigsaw puzzle - the first jigsaw puzzle I've ever completed by myself
10. Getting two things on my Christmas wish list - guitar hero guitar controller and a jacket from northface
9. December 15th, I think - I believe this was the day of the church Christmas Musical and Lawrence T's birthday party
8. Going to downtown with Chris and Cathy - got Sammy something fo Christmas
7. Planet Earth - was going to watch Juno but it was sold out, so we got some Burma Superstar to go and watched Planet Earth on Blu Ray at Sammy's house
6. Watching Juno - after two attempts at watching this movie and failing (being sold out), I finally saw it
5. Baby Showers - a.) Jeannie's house - blackout, tight
b.) At choir - fed by the soon to be mother Mrs. Jang
both were surprises
4. The Volvo breakdown on D St. - Master Go's Volvo broke down on D st.
3. Just hanging out - a popular activity for most people: Keasha's house playing board games and Rockband at Ryan's house
2. Fellowship stuff - the hoodies we got, the specials, the predictions, potlucks at Jeff's house, etc.
1. CEBC's first win in ACBA - won by 19 points
(13) Starting the new year - 08, so many things to look forward to

I guess I'm not really a picture taker. I should be. Maybe I'll make a New Year's resolution post and make "bring my camera everywhere" my top priority.

So the basketball ministry at church is in the ACBA basketball league. And after being defeated by the two best teams in the league, we worked for our first victory today. Both of our coaches were on the sidelines of the court and everybody was on time today.
Papa and Mama Jang also got another surprise baby shower today and that would make it like their twelfth one so far...

007

Have you heard those songs that were altered by some guy to sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks sang them? I think I'm a little late but whatever. Power to the people who haven't heard them yet. They perform hits from today like Crank Dat by the infamous Soulja Boy, Apologize by Timbaland and One Republic, Kiss Kiss by Chris Brown and even some Hannah Montana aka Miley Stewart aka Miley Cyrus aka Destiny Hope Cyrus songs. You can just search them up on youtube I guess, that's how I found out about it. It basically sounds like T Pain's voice effect thing gone wrong. Enjoy.

Another masterpiece made from Paint. The first thing I saw on TV in 2008 is Mariah Carey performing "Shake It Off" Britney style except she is wearing this extra cape thing. Weird. Learn what not to do from these performances young stars of today. That means you Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Anne... wait nevermind, Mika, Allison Lee, Jordin Sparks, and others!!!!
